Modified Spring 2021 Season

The recent announcement of Healthy Washington Road Map plan has finally given us a chance to bring back youth football!  Our hope is that before February 22nd the Puget Sound Region of Snohomish, King & Pierce counties will be in Phase 2 and allowed to move forward with a modified tackle season.  Our children's health always comes first and we will be following ALL safe return to play guidelines and WIAA regulations including facemasks, temperature checks and social distancing.

NSJFL has designed a 10 week season beginning February 22 and ending May 1st.  With 6 regular games and 2 Championship/Bowl games that are yet to be determined. This plan is subject to change depending on the progression of Phases.

Unfortunately we will NOT be offering Cheerleading this Spring. With the shortened season and activity restrictions, we do not feel that we can offer a quality cheer experience at this time.

Please see the following links for the Health Washington Plan and the WIAA Season Guidelines

Everyone stay healthy and safe. Go Bearcats!

Monroe Youth Football and Cheer

Our Coaches are dedicated to providing  a healthy atmosphere to allow all our young athletes to learn and grow as teammates and members in the community. Our family first motto holds firm in all levels of our sport. We are a direct feeder program to Monroe High School, come join our Bearcat family!

The NSJFL and Monroe Youth Football are joining in the efforts to reduce head injuries in football. All coaches are required to be certified for Heads Up Football.

USA Football's Heads Up Tackling® is a step-by-step protocol to teach the core principles of the skill and sets a new standard in player safety. The program utilizes five fundamentals through a series of drills to reinforce proper tackling mechanics and teach players how to properly tackle with a focus on reducing helmet contact.
